Simply Karam was born out of love for authentic, tasty South Indian food. As the women behind SK ,we have one thing in common that brought us together, our love for food and the absence of quality products in the market. Even though we may love our traditional method of cooking South Indian food,we recognize that the time to cook these quality meals often discourages younger generation Indians from making these meals themselves. While this problem has attempted to be addressed by an abundance of frozen Indian food and even other pre-made powders, they miss the mark when it comes to the most important thing- taste. Our product not only helps minimize cooking time, but maintains quality, nutrition, and taste. We even incorporate recipes to showcase easy, beginner methods of using our product!

Food has always been my connection to home. At the heart of South Indian food has always been spices. Having created a home away from home in America, I struggled to find authentic versions of my favorite Indian meals. I decided authenticity was something I could create myself- eventually I became an expert in cooking traditional South Indian meals. I saw
firsthand how sharing this food with other Indians, even with my kids, transported them to my birthplace and allowed them a taste of the nostalgia and home I always feel during these meals. By cooking authentically, I was able to show friends and family my home. As cooking quality and real food becomes more of a struggle for working people on the go, I
wondered why people had to sacrifice this taste for time. Through SK, I hope to address that issue and through one spice packet at a time, show people a little taste of my home.

I am an ardent foodie,and love exploring new cuisines. I like fusion food and in my
kitchen I experiment with Indian fusion food. So, my kids can get a taste of home in the food they like to eat. Coming from a Small Business background I’ve always wanted to start my own business. So a spice and tea business seemed like a good way to combine my passion with business acumen.
